Bio:

The Revies start out in Monterrey, Mexico in 2007 when the Rosas brothers, Carlos and Etienne, get together to start writing originals for the first time in their attempt to be the Beatles or Red Hot Chili Peppers, or possibly both simultaneously. Monterrey being a city of mostly cover venues, they had their work cut out for them and managed to release at least one EP every consecutive year, touring independently all over Mexico and Texas plus the U.S. Midwest.

Midwest.
The interesting mix of influences that developed in the process is clear in the songwriting, which includes both English and Spanish lyrics. The musical style of the Revies can be described as classic rock and rockabilly, with vocal harmonies fused into Latin rhythms here and there, and Zeppelin style guitar riffs which can lead to pretty raucous and energetic performances. Not to worry though, the band also has a softer side, with several folksy ballads they have written in moments of melancholy and heartbreak. Yes, the musical journey has made them an emotional bunch.
Recognition for the Revies' music earned them the privilege of playing in several big-time festivals, some headlined by recognized Latino bands like Molotov, Enanitos Verdes, or Kinky, as well as other musical legends such as Def Leppard and Cypress Hill. For a while in 2013-2014, they were signed to Hot Records in Monterrey, but the music scene in Mexico being what it is would push them to look to other opportunities, and naturally, Los Angeles became the band's new home. The band is preparing a new EP release set for summer 2016. Currently, the band is made up of Etienne Rosas (vocals/rhythm guitar), Carlos Rosas (bass/keyboard), Max Kane (lead guitar) and James Syme (drums).
We intuit you'll be into it.
